Accountant

You enjoy full charge bookkeeping, including Payroll, reconciliations, retail cash control and register monitoring, sales tax payments, reporting, etc. Much of the job can be done remotely with 1-2 days of in-store work. May be ideal for someone who commutes to the Bay Area.

Skills Needed:

• Fluent in Quickbooks
• Bills.com or ability to learn
• Ability to interface with NCR Counterpoint POS software or ability to learn
• Willing to work on the sales floor October 15-31

Party Planner

You’re organized and love helping bring ideas into reality. This is a new position growing out of our balloon decor business. Our goal is to offer a range of party and event planning services for the host who wants to enjoy her party and leave some (or all) of the details to a pro.

Skills Needed:

• Assembling the elements and inputs required for a wonderful event
• Coordinate vendors - photographer, table and chair rental, linen service, tableware, catering barware, etc.
• Coordinate decorations, invitations, seating charts, place cards, etc.
• Come with a resource list of event vendors and ideas
• If needed, coordinate party set up, take down, and service during the party
• Willing to work on the sales floor October 15-31

Balloon Artist

You’ve got a design eye that would enjoy being focused on balloon decor. You are delighted when you nail our customer’s vision and bring it to life. You are a maker at heart and enjoy working with your hands. You’re gratified by seeing a finished installation of a design product. Open to design feedback and guidance from customers and managers. Have/create a vision and ability to realize. Even as a child, you were drawn to arts and crafts and creating things with your imagination. Ability to review data and come to smart conclusions about next best steps. You have an “aim to please” mindset and don’t mind revisions and feedback as a part of the creative and selling process. You don’t take client feedback and constructive criticism personally.    

Skills Needed:

• Willingness to learn the details of quality balloon construction, transportation, and installation.
• Ability to listen and bridge the gap between what a customer says and the actual vision in her mind.
• Be a problem solver not a problem identifier.
• Poise and graciousness with customers who often don’t quite know how to ask for what they really want.
• Photograph and share your work across the company, on website and social media
• Willing to work on the sales floor October 15-31 

Visual Merchandiser

You feel a deep sense of satisfaction when you nail a visual merchandising vision. You have a design eye that will be focused on making products look great on the shelf and sell like crazy. You are a maker at heart and enjoy working with your hands. You are gratified by seeing a finished planogram or display that looks great and meets sales productivity goals. You’re open to design feedback and guidance are driven by point-of-sale data. You have an innate ability to review data and come to smart conclusions about next best steps and revisions. You have an “aim to please” mindset and don’t mind revisions and feedback as a part of the creative process. You enjoy reading sales reports that measure your display’s productivity against goal yields. You’re able to search the internet, competitors, and vendor images for applicable design ideas. Have a knack for using successful display ideas for a variety of products, thereby increasing efficiency. 

Skills Needed:

• Ability to create a display from a photo or drawing
• Retail signage template creation and copy
• Good typography
• Ability to direct others in the non-creative aspects of your work
• Color story appreciation and skills
• Willingness to design to sales performance goals
• Enjoy making displays with big visual impact
• Supervise, train, and work alongside merchandisers
• Photograph and share your work across the company, on website and social media
